LAXEY
Sustainable aquaculture on land
LAXEY
Laxey is setting up land-based salmon farming in Vestmannaeyjar with a focus on sustainable production.
With a fully operational RAS smolt station and a hybrid flow-through grow-out system (70% water reuse), we prioritize sustainability and fish welfare. Using clean energy and stable local seawater conditions from boreholes, we ensure a more biosecure and high-quality production without antibiotics. We are making steady progress toward responsible, efficient, and sustainable aquaculture on land.
