LAXEY SIGNS CONTRACT FOR SMOLT FACILITY WITH AKVA GROUP LAND BASED

LAXEY has signed a contract with AKVA Group Land Based for a smolt facility for 3.5 million 100 g smolt per year. The facility will utilize AKVA Group´s Zero Water Concept to maximize the utilization of water into the station. ILFS has started construction on the station and expects to put in first batches of eggs summer of 2023. AKVA Group is a leading supplier of solutions for aquaculture and have a large catalogue of successful projects similar to the one in Vestmannaeyjar.
