The fourth and largest batch has arrived!
Last week, we received the fourth batch of salmon ova, our largest to date, supplied by Benchmark Genetics Iceland . We were pleased to have Sverre Vormedal from their team accompany us for the delivery.
When the ova arrive, it’s essential to ensure they are placed quickly and securely in the hatchery. Preparation and good organization are, therefore, key to a smooth process, which, of course, went very well today, as always. You can see from the smiles on our team’s faces that everything went very well. We now have biomass across all systems in our Smolt station: the hatchery, as well as RAS 1, RAS 2, and RAS 3.
